From the outside film to the inside formula, our pods were carefully designed to be 100% biodegradable and are made from only the highest quality ingredients to give you a pur, powerful clean.
Purifico pods hold their shape using water-soluble films made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) that are colorless, odorless, non-toxic and biodegradable—meaning, they dissolve in water and are then consumed by bacterial micro-organisms. We chose PVOH to create our pods because it doesn’t contaminate recycling streams or contribute to micro-plastic pollution. It’s so safe in fact, that this same film is also used for food-grade products.
All of our pods are made with 100% natural fragrances and are crafted from top-quality essential oils, as well as 100% natural cleansers, moisturizers and foaming agents—which include plant-based surfactants that are mild yet effective. Our pods are 98% naturally derived. That’s because some of our formulas contain less than 1% of dyes used as an opacifying agent. The dyes we used in some of the products are FD&C blue 1.
