On the Outside: The Film

Purifico pods hold their shape using water-soluble films made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) that are colorless, odorless, non-toxic and biodegradable—meaning, they dissolve in water and are then consumed by bacterial micro-organisms. We chose PVOH to create our pods because it doesn’t contaminate recycling streams or contribute to micro-plastic pollution. It’s so safe in fact, that this same film is also used for food-grade products.

On The Inside: The Formula

All of our pods are made with 100% natural fragrances and are crafted from top-quality essential oils, as well as 100% natural cleansers, moisturizers and foaming agents—which include plant-based surfactants that are mild yet effective. Our pods are 98% naturally derived. That’s because some of our formulas contain less than 1% of dyes used as an opacifying agent. The dyes we used in some of the products are FD&C blue 1. It lathered up my hair just as good as my normal shampoo. My hair was frizzy or dried out looking when I styled it. I love the less waste idea because I'm always going through bottles of shampoo and body wash. Also the smell was pretty amazing

Amazing Shampoo

I need a sulfate-free shampoo because I’m apparently allergic to sulfates - they make my head itch! I’ve been using the Pur Renewal (sulfate-free) Shampoo and I love it! The suds are fantastic and my hair feels squeaky clean. My hair has more body now than when I was using my previous shampoo. I’m ordering more!
